Terracruda clay-based concrete, when applied with an advanced variant of the pisé (Rammed Earth) technique, is an ideal solution for building septa, partitions or mass elements with excellent thermo-hygrometric properties and highly suggestive visual results.
Terracruda® pisé is a construction system suitable for both the restoration and renovation of spaces.
A new construction system, the result of research into materials and the development of applied solutions, Terracruda® pisé overcomes spatial constraints, perfectly adapting itself even to complex shapes and capable of meeting the structural and durability requirements needed during the design phase.
Clay-based concrete is used for the construction of substrates and walls with a thickness of maximum 15 cm. The product can also be used to cover stone walls or to fill cavities considered too valuable for Terracruda plaster. Clay-based concrete supports the thermal inertia of the environment; it also amplifies the thermal displacement and contributes to the acoustic insulation of buildings.
This material is the result of years of research and development: the grain size curve of the sands and the minimal amount of water used in the mixture give it optimal compactness. Although not suitable for load-bearing structures, it can withstand 20 MPa.
